More reasons why we should be proud of our Dong Bang boys!

090705 Tohoshinki Triple Three In Tokyo Dome
Reported at 19:12 (Japan Time)

Popular Korean male group Tohoshinki had their concert at the Tokyo Dome on 4th July. It was the beginning of the final stop for their National tour, and it is their first time performing there since their debut (in Japan) 4 years ago. Their new single「Stand By U」which was released on 1 July, has already reached an amazing number of 300,000 copies shipped. It is estimated that the tour was attended by around 300,000 people, and their latest album has also passed the 300,000 mark. They have achieved the “Triple Three” of the music industry.

Coming from Korea in 2005, they challenged Japan’s major scene (music industry) for the past 4 years. Last year, they made their first appearance in the “All-star Game” of the music industry, 「NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen」, and they achieved 6 ORICON Chart number ones. Tohoshinki has become a “hit machine”.

They’ve accomplished a record that is comparable to the “certificate of good hitters” when famous batters of baseball games played in the Tokyo Dome achieve a Triple Three (Batting average 30%, Home-runs 30, Base stealing 30).

This will be the finale of the National Tour that began in May. Including the final performance on 5th July, the total number of 21 Lives would have been attended by roughly 300,000 people. Besides that, their latest album 「The Secret Code」have sold more than 300,000, and their new single 「Stand By U」have shipped more than 300,000 copies. Despite the recession in CD sales, the explosive numbers of their CD sales resulting in a “Triple Three” is proof that they are indeed Top Stars. It is definitely not a loss to have spent ¥3,000,000,000 in the total production of the national tour.

This is a quintet group that have perfected the “3 beats” of singing, dancing and speaking in Japanese. Nothing beats the image of the Dome packed with 50,000 people, drunk on the magnificence of the 5 “best hitters” on the stage.

The members, Yunho (23) was flying through the air, Jejung (23) and Yuchun (23) performed a duet that was shown for the first time. They used female dancers for the first time and screams came from the audience when there was body contact. In the talk corner, Junsu (22), pleased the fans when he used an Oyaji-gag, 「Benkyoushinai juku wa Harajuku」.

The 5 members who looked around the Japan’s largest venue kept saying 「It’s amazingly huge!」. At the very end, as they stood and basked under the cheers of the fans,「It feels like we’ve achieved our dream. I feel so blessed」, Junsu said with tears in his eyes.

**T/N: “The cram school that doesn’t study, is Harajuku.” Word play on “juku”. ^^;;
***T/N: They make a lot of reference using Baseball terms since it’s a well-known sport that is commonly played at the Dome.

I’m really in total awe right now. These guys are just so AMAZING. There is really no words to describe how happy and proud I am to have been a fan of a group who is as hardworking, passionate, and talented as Dong Bang Shin Ki. Indeed, these five guys are nothing but GODS of the music industry who just keeps on RISING to greater heights as time goes by. They just keep on improving and bettering themselves that it’s really impossible for me to predict how much more success they could have in the future. Definitely, Dong Bang Shin Ki has become legends of the Asian music industry and they surely will continue their successful stint in the future.

Just a note: The total sales reflected in Oricon chart of the single “Stand By U” is around 151K. Just in case you get confused by the figure given on the article above, I would just like to reiterate that it says “Their new single「Stand By U」which was released on 1 July, has already reached an amazing number of 300,000 copies shipped.I’m guessing that the sales from websites and stores that are not counted in Oricon chart were also included on the 300K copies mentioned on the article.

The following pics are posted by Masato Matsuura, Avex’ CEO. Looks like he loves blogging, too! LOL. =)

Based from blog updates from the staff, Avex’ CEO seemed so delighted with the success of DBSK’s concerts so far and he has complimented and praised the boys for their hard work. That’s probably why they’re all smiles backstage. Also based from fan accounts and blog updates by the staff as well, this year’s Saitama Super Arena concert was even more successful than last year. Unlike their “T” concert at Saitama last year where the venue’s upper portion wasn’t used, the arena was packed with people this year. According to the staff, the upper two levels which were not used last year were now occupied by the fans, too. Even the boys expressed their happiness in seeing a fully-packed Saitama Super Arena in their “thank you” message for the fans.

Things are really getting better for the boys and I’m happy for them since they truly deserve everything they’re getting now. I’m glad that they’re gaining more and more Japanese fans because this only means that more and more people are beginning to appreciate and love these boys. Let’s keep spreading the Dong Bang Shin Ki love! :D

Awww… JaeJoong is such a sweet guy and a very caring “mother-figure” to his members. Based from his personality and “motherly” instincts, I guess he feels the most responsibility in taking care of Junsu and he’s probably the most worried among the four (not that the other three members aren’t worried of Junsu).

Oh, one more thing. Jae, please NEVER, NEVER, NEVER say such things like dying or whatnot. You’re unconciously making us worry by saying that! Don’t even think of joking about things concerning those topics. It’s not funny. *frowns*

By the way, Junsu’s getting better now. He can somehow stand and walk now. Although for sure he still can’t join the dance routines for their concerts, it’s good to hear that he’s getting better. :D

Pictures of the members during the 4th Live Tour – The Secret Code concert in Kobe Hall. I know I sound like a broken record but really, JaeJoong is just SO HOT and IRESISTIBLE. I guess him being so PERFECT-LOOKING will always be a mystery to me. :D

There are also a couple of pictures of Junsu in a wheelchair. It makes me sad looking at those pictures. T_T But I’m glad that at least he’s smiling even though I know that he’s probably hurting – both physically and emotionally. The pictures of JaeJoong and the other members pushing his wheelchair is just LOVE. This only proves how caring each DBSK member is to one another. It must have been also painful on the part of the other four to see Junsu on that state. Get well soon, Junsu! We’ll be waiting for your grand performance next time! :D

And just to show how passionate our Xiah Junsu is and that nothing – not even an injury – can stop him from performing, here’s a fancam of our dolphin boy singing Bolero standing up from his wheelchair to end the concert.

Some more pamphlet pictures but this time the pics are clearer and of high quality. Finally more pics of JaeJoong, too. Man, like what Emerald said on her comment, I would gladly fly and travel everyday if Jae’s the pilot of the plane. He’s just too “delicious” for words! LOL.

To lighten the mood a bit, here are some pictures from “The Secret Code”. I’m not sure if these are concert photobook pictures but they call them pamphlets.

OMG. The boys look sooo~ great on these pictures especially Yunho and Junsu. I just wish JaeJoong has as many pictures as Yunho. I bet he’ll looks hot, too. And oh, Min and Chun looks good too. Wait, actually ALL OF THEM LOOK SO AWESOME I’m willing to stare at them all day long. :D

Found these in DBSK’s thread at Soompi.

I love the logo of the concert tour. It looks so sophisticated yet funky. Add to that, Jae’s song “9095”, which can also be considered as the secret code is also shown in the logo. I’m curious of one thing, though – why did they include a figure of an egale/bird at the top most part? Does it mean anything? *hmmm*

The boys look hot in black although I think Changmin looks the hottest among the five basing from the pictures. I also like the aircrafts/airplanes behind JaeJoong, Yunho, and Junsu. I wonder what the boys will look like piloting an aircraft? They must look so good doing that. LOL.
