The number of rice wreaths sent by fans to JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong has set a new record.

On the afternoon of 17 May, the MBC drama “Time Slip Dr. Jin” held its press conference at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul. Song Seung Hun, Lee Bum Soo, Kim Jaejoong and Park Minyoung and others were present, and with a large number of hallyu stars present, there were a huge number of rice wreaths that took up the entire location.

In particular, the number of rice wreaths that came for Jaejoong reached 23.68 tons. These were from well-wishing fans from 31 countries including Korea, Japan, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Russia and others.

Drama personnel said, “Since (the trend of) rice wreaths started in 2007, the amount of wreaths that Jaejoong has received is the largest in history.” JYJ’s management agency said, “We are really thankful to the fans for the rice. We want to use the rice that has been delivered to help others.”  Aside from Jaejoong, there were also rice wreaths from fans of Song Seung Hun, Lee Bum Soo, Park Minyoung and others to show their support.

“Time Slip Dr. Jin” is adapted from a Japanese comic that has been running for 10 years, about the best doctor in Korea 2012 going back into the past  due to a time slip, and has to fight alone. It will start its broadcast on 26 May after “Dinner of the Gods”
