110722 Kim Junsu’s Participation In OSTs, Why Not “Protect The Boss” But “Scent Of A Woman?”

Kim Junsu will be participating in the “Scent of a Woman” OST.  In the early afternoon of 22 July, it was announced that Kim Junsu will be participating in the OST of SBS’s weekend special project “Scent of a Woman,” and he will also be playing the role of a popular singer with the same name in a guest appearance for the drama.

Kim Junsu had shown his support for Park Yoochun’s KBS drama “SungKyunKwan Scandal” and participated in its OST. However, this time he has not chosen to participate in Kim Jaejoong’s “Protect the Boss” OST but in “Scent of the Woman,” raising a considerable amount of attention.

To this, JYJ representatives said, “Both dramas are from the same production company, and we felt that Kim Junsu’s voice would match the loveline between Kim Sun Ah and Lee Dong Wook in “Scent of a Woman” better,” explaining the reason behind Kim Junsu’s participation.

Also, with regards to his guest appearance in the same drama, they also said, “The three members of JYJ are interested in trying out different activities in each field, but the activities of JYJ (as a group) is still the priority. Kim Junsu has always been interested in singing for drama OSTs, and often sings songs from OSTs, and is especially fond of “That Man” and “ Don’t Forget Me.” Also, he feels that participating in drama OSTs are more important than participating in actual dramas at the moment.”

 (Repetition from previous article omitted)

Kim Junsu recently completed his “Mozart!” performances and is having a period of rest, and the three members of JYJ are currently working hard in preparation for their new album.

110722 JYJ Kim Junsu, Supports “Scent Of A Woman” OST

On 22 July, SBS revealed that Kim Junsu will be participating in the “Scent of a Woman” OST, and will also be making a guest appearance.

This OST song will talk about the sweet yet painful love of the main female lead, who only has been told that she only has a limited time to live, and Kim Junsu is expected to use his unique, sweet vocals to express this. Especially the lyrics “You are so beautiful, You are so wonderful,  Loving you, Loving You,” the chorus leaves a deep reverberation, and is expected the shake the hearts of the female listeners. The explanation from the officials also mentions that , the image of (someone) softly singing into your ear, and the gentle and harmonious ballad tune, blends together perfectly with Xiah Junsu’s charming voice.

Through his participation in the OST, Kim Junsu will also be making a guest appearance on the 5th episode, and will be participating in an enjoyable date scene with female lead Lee Yeon Jae (played by Kim Sun Ah.) During his date with Kim Sun Ah, he sings a song especially for her, and warmly takes a photograph together with her and signing an autograph for her, showing a deep charm. Lee Yeon Jae, who only has a limited time to live, thus successfully checks “a date with Kim Junsu” off her wish list.

The production company said, “Thanks to the support of Kim Junsu, who has the best vocals and popularity, the “Scent of a Woman” OST’s completion rate has been significantly raised.” “Please also look forward to the surprising appearance of actor Kim Junsu and his performance. It shows a refreshingly touching and happy feeling.

Actor Ji Sung discusses his relationship with Jaejoong

“We slept together in our underwear when we first met”.

Actor Ji Sung spoke of his first meeting with his good friend, JYJ’s Jaejoong.

During an interview with Starnews on July 21st, Ji Sung spoke out about his relationship with the superstar. Ji Sung is co-starring with Jaejoong in the upcoming SBS drama, ‘Protect the Boss‘.

He began, “We went to MT (Membership Training) with all of the staff and actors/actresses before we began shooting for the drama… I first met Jaejoong there. After dinner and some drinks, I was trying to fall asleep, but Jaejoong came in the room and we had to use the room together”.

He continued, “There was only one King-size bed in the room. Neither of us really wanted to sleep on the floor, so we chose to sleep on the bed together. But the temperature in the room was so hot that both of us slept in our underwear without any words said. Guys bond quickly after they go to the public bath together, and I guess it’s kind of the same sort of situation” (laughing).

For ‘Protect the Boss’, Ji Sung acts as Cha Ji Heon, the immature and awkward “delinquent boss”, whereas Jaejoong acts as Cha Moo Won, the well-rounded “prince of the financial world”.

Ji Sung didn’t save any words praising Jaejoong’s acting passion either. Ji Sung commented, “Jaejoong has already become a top star as a musician, but he takes acting as his first step and portrays his maknae role at the filming set very well… He analyzes his character very thoroughly before coming to the set. He shows a great sense of professionalism and responsibility”.

Adding on, “Because Jaejoong shows so much effort, many of the senior actors, including me, put in our efforts to make his adjustment to the acting scene a bit smoother. Jaejoong answers back to our efforts with an adorable attitude. I hope he will have a smooth future as an actor”, sharing his sentiments.

‘Protect the Boss’ will premiere on August 3rd as a follow-up to “City Hunter”.
