Bigeast 2nd fan meeting: DBSK’s Funny Dance May 31, 2008

I found this video of the boys dancing a hilarious dance during their 2nd Bigeast fan meeting. It’s so cute how JaeJoong, Yunho, Changmin, and Yoochun were so shy while Junsu managed to maintain a straight and serious face in doing the dance. He – with Yoochun’s help – was the only one who successfully completed the gag dance. ^^

And I love their reactions when they tried to answer the question but failed to do so at the beginning of the video. JaeJoong’s astonished reaction accompanied by his very cute “Eh?!” was priceless. <333 It was also funny how they laughed at their comical actions while watching the video of Changmin and Yoochun doing the gag dance for the first time (I guess) during the shooting of their MV. Maybe it’s only during these situations when ‘evidences’ of their amusing behavior are shown to them that they actually realize how sidesplitting they are most of the time sometimes. LOL.

SHINee casting stories May 29, 2008

SM Entertainment’s new boyband named SHINee (pronounced as ’shiny’) is getting popular by the day since their debut. Well, I really can’t blame fangirls people from adoring these young kids because they are indeed talented. Their single ’Noona is so pretty (Replay)’ is very catchy and above average for a debuting group of young boys. I must also say that their dance moves are great, too especially Taemin’s. Sometimes I’m curious how on earth SM finds such talented guys and how can they manage to give them this much popularity early on while other companies always have a hard time promoting their artists? Maybe SM Entertainment is really THIS powerful. No wonder almost everyone who dreams of being an artist strives to be part of SM. 

My favorite member is Jonghyun. I love his voice and I think his dancing is also good. But I’m not YET in severe fangirl-ing mode with him since they’re practically a new group and not too much information about them are available on the internet. Plus, I can’t believe I’m fangirl-ing over someone YOUNGER than me. But age doesn’t matter when it comes to these things, right? Isn’t DBSK’s fans in Japan also composed majority of older women? So it’s ok, right? Yeah right. Talk about trying to justify my actions.

Anyway, here are SHINee’s casting stories:

Tae Min (youngest 14): “I started dancing since 3rd grade. I always loved to dance and when I heard that SM Entertainment was holding auditions, I rushed to go try out. I was lucky and got casted. Even now, whenever I have time, I’m always watching dance videos to learn new moves.”

Ohn Yoo (leader): “As soon as I entered high school, I felt that I really wanted to sing, I fell in love with music. People around me also kept telling me that I sing pretty well, so I decided that I wanted to become a singer and enlisted in the SM Academy. From there, I was casted and am now a part of SHINee.”

Key: “When I was in Kindergarten, I chose “singer” as my future dream occupation. When SM Entertainment held auditions, I tried out.”

Min Ho: “I was road casted by chance. Even as a child, I always loved preforming for others, so when I was casted by luck, I was extremely happy.”

Jong Hyun: “Ever since middle school, I was actively involved in various bands and performed at many competitions to further my skills. Luckily, at one of the competitions, an SM Entertainment representative was watching and I got casted.”

I love this particular guesting of the boys. They were so funny and dorky. The “horizon dance” was the funniest thing ever! LOL. And Changminie is so cute here… a VERY witty guy, I must say. Hahaha. And JaeJoong’s message to his future wife was just sooo sweet! Cook for her wife at least 1 meal a day? Isn’t he a sweetie? Awww… This guy is <3.

DBSK/THSK’s New Single May 25, 2008

Just now while lurking at DBSK’s thread at Soompi, I found out that DBSK’s next Japanese single was out on the internet already although it will be officially released on the 23rd day of July this year. I’m too lazy to actually look for the song in mp3 format so I just downloaded the one and only video (I think) of the song that is now uploaded in YouTube and then I just converted it in mp3 format using my converter (thank god for converters! ;p).

Japanese title: Doushite kimi o suki ni natteshimattandarou?

English title: Why have I fallen in love with you?

OMG. The song was über nice! I loved it! The very first time I heard it, I was like WOW! I mean, I love most of DBSK’s songs and most of the songs on my ‘favorite’ list are actually their Japanese singles (don’t get me wrong. I DO love their Korean songs, too) but this one is different from the rest. With their other singles, I had to listen to them at least thrice (especially in singles where the boys decide to ‘play’ ‘experiment’ with their voices just like what they did to Purple Line) before I really come to like them but with this one, I loved it the instant it reached my ear and my brain was able to process the melodic voices of the five members.

My favorite parts in this song are JaeJoong and Changmin’s parts. No, I’m not saying this because JaeJoong is my favorite member and that Changmin comes in second but simply because I really like the way they sang their parts. I’m no musical genius and I’m not also good at describing things/people in a musical aspect using all those musical terms but with no knowledge my limited knowledge and depending only on my natural love for good music, I really think they did great. As usual, JaeJoong has that soft, soulful, and calming voice, which in my opinion, is very fit for that RnB vibe the song is giving off. He also never fails to amaze me on how he manages to hit those seemingly high but soft notes (meaning not the powerful, Whitney Houston kind of high notes) without breaking a single sweat and his voice not hinting any kind of difficulty whatsoever. I think among all the members of DBSK, JaeJoong is the one who has the most control on his voice and this is really something that makes his singing even more beautiful. Changmin on the other hand, surprised me with the way he sang his parts. Contrary to JaeJoong, he didn’t make use of his usual high-pitched voice but rather sang his parts in a relatively low tone (at least lower than usual). It’s actually fun to hear Changmin do away with his screaming high-pitched singing once in a while and show the world that he can also sing in a very mild way just like the others. And seemingly, the group’s magnae is slowly improving on his voice control. Yay! =)

Of course, Junsu, Yunho, and Yoochun also did great on their parts. Junsu is his usual self – singing the song beautifully with that unique voice of his. As for Yunho and Yoochun, it’s a pity that they only sang a few parts of the song as compared to the other three members. I even expected Yoochun to sing a lot of parts because I always associated his type of voice with RnB even though I’m jumping for joy since JaeJoong has the most parts. But ANYWAY, all in all the song was GREAT. As usual, the perfect blending and harmonization that DBSK is known for is once again showcased in this song. These guys are really improving by the day and I’m so proud of them. I hope their Korean album will also include great songs such as this. =)

TaeSu “couple” @ L.A. street May 21, 2008

Aside from the debate on where on earth DBSK is nowadays, the other hot topic right after HB is the RUMORED romantic relationship between DBSK’s Xiah Junsu and SNSD’s leader Taeyon. It’s actually all over the internet nowadays and is one of the hottest topics being discussed in many forums nowadays. I should know because lurking at different forums has been my hobby these past few weeks. Apparently, some fans who attended the recently held KMF saw some TaeSu moments and even had a chance to capture them on camera. Other fans even said that they were spotted having some “couple moments” (a.k.a hugging and pinching the cheeks thingy) at some place (at A&F,Ii think). As soon as this topic was brought up together with the pictures (that were supposed to serve as “evidences”), many netizens – especially Junsu’s fans – can’t get enough of it. They had different reactions to the news – some were happy because according to them Junsu and Taeyon make-up a cute couple; some, on the other hand just shrugged the news off; some offered possible explanations for the said scenes; some are still in denial; and many hearts were broken upon hearing this news, my friend’s included.

My friend asked me to tell her once I find the pictures of Junsu and Taeyon’s “sweet” moments at A&F, which according to her were posted on one blog that she apparently cannot find. It’s not like I’m good at looking up and searching for things in the internet, but let’s just say browsing different websites has been my pastime since our summer vacation started (and which will end in a few days T_T). I obliged to her request and just after searching for a few minutes, I stumbled upon a multiply site where some “interesting” photos of Junsu  and Taeyon where posted. These are of course different from the ones that are usually posted nowadays (talking about the holding hands/low five pictures at HB). These pictures I believe were taken while they were walking at LA street. I don’t know if these are the A&F pictures but nevertheless, I figured my friend (and some other people engrossed on this topic) would want to see.

Here’s what the ”witness” (and I guess the owner of these pictures?) has to say:

“I don’t think it’s dating….YET.

But, it’s definitely NOT a rumor that they have feelings for each other – I think we are all open-minded enough to recognize the truth when we see it (*cough* I was also a witness…but since I don’t have proof, I won’t spread what I saw – which was obviously a “couple moment” between the two [with another male companion walking ahead of them--me: she's absolutely talking about these pics] – AND it was in broad daylight…they must have really thought no one would have noticed them, but then again, we were all the way across the bridge at the grove…so they prolly thought they were “safe” from ppl’s view – awww…the innocence of first love – kyaaa! I hope it does end up being true because they are really a cute couple!! ) and for some fans – it sucks for you guys, but then again, stop living a fantasy and just be happy for the both of them. I believe they were prolly just “testing the waters” here in L.A. to see what would happen…now, we will just have to wait and see if the korean netizens are as open-minded as us (the international fans).”

So what do you think?

Honestly by looking at the pictures, I really can’t make up my mind if the guy was Junsu or not. Apart from having a poor eyesight, I’m also not too familiar with his body features (as in the detailed ones) or whatsoever for me to know that he actually is the guy in the pictures above. But basing from his height. built, and duckbutt and also from the confirmations of his fans, maybe he is the guy. Moreover, the “witness” already said she saw them with her own eyes, I guess it really is Junsu.

Anyway, I’m not affected with the rumor since Junsu’s not my love among the DBSK members. I’m not heartbroken unlike many girls are right now but I have to admit that I was a bit shocked when I first heard the rumor. Maybe it’s because it’s quite hard for me to imagine the supposed “innocent” one among the five dongbang boys actually doing such bold actions for a girl AND in public.  I think among all the members, having a rumor with some girls has been JaeJoong (to my dismay T_T) and Yoochun’s forté. Junsu along with Changmin have been the ones who are usually spared from these kinds of rumors. And having said this, it’s really a bit shocking for the dolphin boy to actually be involved in a big and controversial one. Wait, aren’t all news of girls with DBSK always big?

My opinion on this rumor? Well, let’s just give Junsu and Taeyon a break. There’s no confirmation of their true relationship so I would give them the benefit of the doubt. As they say, anyone is innocent until proven guilty. There are so many possible reasons for such actions of Junsu and Taeyon. Its possible that they are just really close friends, oppa-dongsaeng kind of relationship, getting-to-know-you stage, or it may be true that they are together. No one really knows what kind of relationship they have but them and no one will know until anyone of them decides to talk about it. So until then, these will remain as RUMORS.

But if they truly are together, shouldn’t fans be happy for them and respect their decision to be together? Believe me when I say I know the feeling of hurting because of stuff like this because I am after all, a fan myself. I know I sound weird after stating that first sentence because everytime I hear JaeJoong having a rumored relationship with another girl, I ALWAYS feak-out and wants to strangle the girl mercilessly. But isn’t that what most of us, fans, feel everytime we are caught in a situation like this? We can’t actually avoid that since maybe we’re too caught up, obsessed, infatuated – whatever you want to call it – with our idols that we tend to think irrationally and illogically at times. It’s actually ok to feel that way as long as at the end of the day, we keep in mind that these celebrities are also human. And by that I mean they also NEED someone to be with them and they HAVE THE RIGHT to be with anyone they like. As hard as it is to accept, these celebrities won’t stay single forever - well, at least most of them. And so we, the fans, should learn to accept the bitter reality that even if we want them badly for ourselves by declaring ourselves their girlfriends, some things can’t go the way we want them to be. Although some are lucky enough to be noticed and end up with their idols, not everyone can have the same luck. The only way then is to support them in their decisons and be happy for them, just like what a true fan should be. And for those who claim that they love DBSK that’s why they refuse to accept whatever relationship the boys have with other girls (whether friendly or romantic, true or not), I have one question for you: Isn’t it when you love/like someone you should be happy on what makes him happy? I am also guilty of this so I’m also directing that simple thought to myself.  My point is, go cry and freak-out all you want, that’s NORMAL and ACCEPTABLE. We, girls, have fragile hearts that can easily be shattered by a simple thing. But after those seemingly endless ranting and cussing, let’s be sane again, be rational about things, and begin that painful process called “acceptance”. Besides, them being single or not doesn’t change the fact that they are talented, amazing, and gorgeous, right? =D

Woah, that was quite a long realization that hopefully I can also keep in mind when JaeJoong is caught in a similar situation. I hope I can be calm and composed like this when that time comes (although I wouldn’t want that happening anytime soon). Hahaha.

Well, a least that’s what Yunho’s ex-girlfriend thought.

Yunho mentioned during their guesting on SBS’s Star Show that he and his ex-girlfriend (before DBSK debuted) broke up because of Super Junior’s Heechul. Apparently, his then girlfriend spotted him and Heechul together and has mistaken Heechul for a girl. Thinking that Yunho was cheating on her, she broke up with him no matter how hard Yunho tried to explain that Heechul is a guy. LOL.

Poor Yunho… he lost his beloved girlfriend because of Cinderella. XD I wonder what Heechul did when he found out he was the cause of their break-up? o_O And I’m also curious of what the girl’s reaction now knowing that she let go of Yunho because of a guy (hopefully she already realized that Heechul is a guy)? Hmmm… ~

Anyway, here’s a part of the article I read at Allkpop.com:

Ok, I’m officially announcing that JaeJoong is the HOTTEST person alive and my firm belief of the statement “nobody’s perfect” is shattered by this gorgeous guy. Last time I checked I am certain that he is human, but now, I’m having doubts if he really is human. I mean, how can a beautiful and perfect creature like him be called human? Can somebody please tell me what he really is? Because as of now, I can’t think straight. I’m just so mesmerized and engrossed with everything about this guy.

I chanced upon these fancams of JaeJoong at YouTube during the recording of Star Show where they are to appear as guests. Thanks to these videos and now I’m finally admitting that I’m obsessed with JaeJoong. <333

JaeJoong’s pink hand + expression + dance

As usual, JaeJoongie’s dorkiness + charming smile + tounge action. Waaahhh! I sooo love his smile and the way he shows that tounge! Sexy! lol. =) There were a lot some Soulmate and Soulfighter moments on that video. Hahaha. I love the part when he and Yoochun were playing “cham cham cham” (did I get that right?) using those toy hands (btw, someone please get me one of those pink toy hands! they’re so cute!). Looks like JaeJoong really sucks on that game. lol. Oh, and who could miss that expression of JaeJoongie when his face was covered with the cue card? It’s PRICELESS (again, showing that gorgeous tounge of his. =P). Plus the dance, oooohhhh! =D

For the first time ever, I think that was better than any of Yunho’s dances simply because JaeJoong looked so HOT while doing it. Sorry Junsu, but I think JaeJoong outshined your charisma this time around. Hahaha. And those muscles! How dare you remove your coat?! I was practically swooned by the sight of those muscles. I’m so jealous of Boom (the host) because he got to feel those hard muscles and I don’t. =( But somehow I’m glad I’m not there because I would have fainted the moment I caught a glimpse of those arms. Waaaahhhh! Makes me want to cling on those muscular arms forever. <333

Haptic Game + Haptic Episode May 16, 2008

Yes, the newest Anycall Haptic CF is out. This was the version which was shot at the airport with all the members of SNSD present. All of nine of them plus the five DBSK members were shown in the CF. This is my favorite among all the four versions that came out simply because Yuri and SooYoung were there and because JaeJoong was so adorkable when he did his famous impersonation of a Korean MC (?) saying “sarangheyo!”. Hahaha. I just love that! Oh, I also have to say that Junsu and Yunho were also funny here. I love the part where the luggages fell and instead of picking them up, Junsu and Yunho just played with the cart. lol.

Apart from the actual CF, I also found a behind the scenes video of them while doing all the Anycall Haptic CFs. One thing I can say: JaeJoong is so darn funny and hot. =)

I found another set of interesting facts only this time they’re of JaeJoong oppa alone. I’m just really fond of these things at present because some of the facts/information are new to me. Some of the things here were already mentioned on my last post but nevertheless, I opted not to delete them anymore. Again the ones enclosed in [ ] are my own comments.

Interesting Facts about Youngwoong JaeJoong

- won “best face” category in the first SM competition. [well, nobody can complain about this. his face, afterall, is the BEST.]
- is interested in people’s relationships & likes to love. [ahem! =)]
- has had many part-time jobs in the past, including working at a convenience store, delivering chicken, newspaper delivery, & manual labor. [wow, JaeJoong oppa really had gone through a lot...]
- when he was young, his dream was to be a supermarket owner because “you can eat a lot of cookies all you want.” [hahaha! silly JaeJoong oppa!]
- parents own a restaurant in ChoongNam KwangJoo. [that explains why he's good at cooking]
- used to be tone deaf when he was younger & his friends made fun of him ’cause he didn’t sing well (from an interview). [well, he's a GREAT singer now...]
- failed his first audition, so he then joined a band and practiced hard to audition again (one of his biggest influences was H.O.T) [yeah! try and try until you succeed!]
- likes a variety of music, from r&b and jazz to modern rock & rock ballads.
- states that his ideal girlfriend (‘Miss Right’) is someone who wouldn’t change from the moment he sees her until the moment they get older together. [isn't change the only permanent thing in this world? so that would be close to impossible. but i get what JaeJoong oppa means. =)]

- his waist is only 24 inches [OMG. o_0]
- doesn’t like to be called “pretty” or “feminine;” prefers being complimented as “handsome” or “suave” — it would please him more. [how about "HOT"? would it also please him more? =)]
- doesn’t like to drink Coke because he once fainted from drinking it. [should i give him Pepsi then? lol]
- doesn’t like to wink since he can’t wink. [duh. of course! why would you want to wink if you can't do it?]
- doesn’t like a messy or cluttered & disorderly space because if he sees it, he would immediately go clean up and organize things. [JaeJoongie oppa is such a neat freak]
- doesn’t like anyone to embrace his waist or hip. [why? is it because it's thin?]
- has a total of 11 piercings & 1 tattoo on his upper back, under his neck, which reads “TVFXQ SOUL”. [where the hell are all those piercings?! and the tattoo looks good on him. =D]
- favorite colors are black & red. [colors of the vampire, black and red. hahaha]

I got these trivia from Dongbangjunior forums and I just found them to be quite interesting so I decided to post them. The ones in [ ] are my own comments.

1) Junsu always tells her Mom that he loves her and kisses her often and often puts hearts in his text msgs to her. [ wow, never new that Junsu was a sweet son. :) ]
2) Junsu never really wets his bed, last time he did was when he was 6. [who even wets his bed beyond childhood? i mean that's kinda... ewww.]
3) Junsu never got in a fight with his brother. [seriously? i always thought they  were the type who bickers a lot.]
4) Junsu wears briefs because it’s “uncomfortable” wearing boxers when he’s dancing.
5) Junsu never stands still when he’s talking, he always pops and moonwalks to the bathroom. [what?!]
6) Junsu helps around a lot with the chores. [i thought the members said that he's the one who doesn't help with the chores in their apartment? or maybe he does it at his own house?]
7) Junsu and Micky both like to eat chicken.
8 ) Junsu’s mom wants her daughter-in-law to be a devoted Christian and play atleast one instrument and also to have an athletic built. [ahem, for all those Junsu wanna-be girlfriends out there. you now know what her mom likes. heheh.]
9) Junsu and his brother JunHo were the noisiest kids in the neighbourhood. [i knew it! hahaha]
10) The hardest times Junsu went through was puberty because his voice changed.
11) Junsu was very famous in his school before he even became DBSK because he’s a good student. [owww.. o_0]
12) Junsu has never been spanked. [one thing i can say: impossible.]

20) She first realized that JunSu wasn’t a little boy when he told her, “Mom, you don’t have to worry about me anymore. All your hardships are over. 39) Changmin’s hair is so thick that he never needs to use a pillow according to Micky. [even thoough that's the case, isn't it still more comfortable to use a pillow?]
40) Changmin and Micky loves to eat at midnight. They would wake up at night and eat. Once, Micky woke up to eat and didn’t wake Changmin. Changmin nagged him in the morning and he never dare repeat it again. [hahaha! typical Changmin. don't ever dare leave him out when it comes to food!]
41) Changmin most of the time woke up at night and cried because he missed his family. [awww... por Minnie!]

47) Jaejoong is an Atheist. He doesn’t believe in GOD. [i think he USED to be an Atheist but now he's already a Christian]
48 ) Once, Jaejoong convinced Changmin and Junsu to go inside their van and locked Micky out of the van. Micky came and knocked but the three just laughed and laughed inside. Micky called his mobile phone but the three won’t answer him. He knocked and knocked but the three continued on laughing inside. Yunho came out of the apartment and knocked once. The three stopped laughing and open the van immediately. [so that means those three are only afraid of authority, huh? hahahaha]
49) Once, yunho and jaejoong had a fight. Changmin was so afraid of the arguments, he didn’t dare to come between the two. Micky was nowhere to be seen. Junsu tried to interfere but the two kept on fighting verbally. With nothing else to do, Junsu hugged Yunho and pushed him away from Jaejoong. Yunho still won’t budge. Junsu was really helpless that he cried. Yunho and jaejoong saw him and stopped fighting. [those two hyungs are really unstoppable. Junsu even had to cry just for them to stop. tsk, tsk, tsk...]
50) Jaejoong would always tease Changmin until the latter cried. When somebody asked him why the boy cried, he would tell them that junsu and changmin had a fight. [JaeJoong oppa, you're such a meanie! How could you do that to your dongsaeng?!]
51) Jaejoong and Junsu once have the same color toothbrush that the other used the other’s toothbrush. [ewww!]
52) Jaejoong and Junsu even lend each other’s underwear. [uhm, that's like... MAJOR EWWWW!]
53) When asked who’s the most popular, Junsu said that they’re all popular in a different way. Him because he’s perfect. Micky is popular because he’s cute. Yunho because he’s very manly. Changmin because he’s nice. Hero because he’s very pretty. [so in short Junsu thinks he's the best since his description of himself is "PERFECT". hahaha]
